Hardee’s closed due to sinkhole – York County Sinkhole
York, Pa. – A sinkhole opened up in the parking lot of a York County Hardee’s in Manchester Township. The restaurant had to be temporarily closed because of the sinkhole.
The restaurant is located at Route 30 and North George St. in Manchester Township. A part of the restaurant was damaged by the sinkhole. Repairs are still in progress. The sinkhole is believed to be a result of last week’s heavy rain.
After the incident, officials from the York County Office of Emergency Management visited the sinkhole site. The office has also sent out their workers to other parts of York County to survey the damages caused by the storm. This information will then be sent to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency to forward to the federal government.
The York County Office of Emergency Management has asked property owners to file damage reports to get possible financial aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
