Supposed road repair reopens sinkhole – Trigg County Sinkholes
A section of Rocky Ridge Road in Trigg County was closed because of a reopened sinkhole after a crew repaired the roadway.
The road, which is also Kentucky 276, was closed around the 11.5 mile marker, between the Interstate 24 overpass and East Adams Mill Road.
According to KYTC, the Trig County Highway Maintenance Team started digging the hole and repairing it Monday. Since then, the crew has dug about 15 feet deep to find a suitable place to pour the concrete barrier. KYTC said after the barrier was installed and the concrete had been put in place, the crew filled the hole with rock.
