Trigg County, KY. – A sinkhole has blocked a section of KY 272/Caledonia Road in the southeast of Cadiz. The sinkhole opened up near the intersection of Clifford Drive on Monday morning.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesperson Keith Todd told the media that a bump in the road was noticed by a resident. The bump then developed into a sinkhole which is 6 feet across and about 4 to 5 feet in depth.
The sinkhole has restricted travel to Glenwood Mill Road as well. Officials are still trying to figure out the possible ways to repair the damage done by the sinkhole. The 272 Caledonia Road will remain closed until further notice.
