Citrus, Marion, Orange, Sumter County Sinkhole Maps Now Live
We have been busy working on adding more sinkhole maps last month and excited to announce that Citrus, Marion, Orange, and Sumter county sinkhole maps are now live.
As we expand into other counties, it become apparent that in comparison to Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties, many other counties do not have as comprehensive data on sinkhole affected properties. In some cases, we would have to contact the local county government offices and request the data with a formal written request. As a result, it requires substantially more efforts for the data collection process than we initially anticipated.
Our aim is to collect and provide as many sinkhole affected properties as possible to our users. If you happen to come across a good data source that we are not aware of, or have any ideas to improve our service, please do not hesitate to let us know by leaving a comment or use the contact us page to get in touch with us.
We really appreciate the support we get from our users and the local county government offices, and look forward to continue expanding our service into more Florida counties.
