Massive sinkholes appear at a recreation center – Sumter County Sinkhole
The Villages, Fl. – Three massive sinkholes have opened up dangerously close to a recreation center in The Villages. The sinkholes appeared last weekend and drained a retention pond behind the Moyer Recreation Center.
The sinkhole location lies in the Fruitland Park area of The Villages. Due to the incident, the swimming pool at the Moyer Recreation Center has been closed. The recreation center itself remained closed till Sunday morning as a precaution.

The authorities have set up yellow tape around the drained-out pool and warned people to stay at a safe distance.
