Sinkhole Fixed Before Thursday’s Game – Miami-Dade County Sinkhole
Miami city – Miami-Dade County: A sinkhole appeared in northern Little Havana at Northwest Seventh Street and 12th Court on Wednesday. The authorities closed Northwest Seventh Street until 6:15 p.m. Thursday. Luis Espinoza, an official from Miami-Dade County’s Department of Transportation and Public Works explained that the sinkhole opened when the wall of the existing drainage system (which is made up of a trench covered by a concrete slab) was compromised.”
The first pitch for Thursday’s Washington Nationals vs. Miami Marlins game is timed at 7:10. The sinkhole has caused a lot of concern among the fans because it is right on the route to the stadium.
