Altamonte Springs – Seminole County Sinkhole in Florida
A possible sinkhole formed at Royal Arms Condominiums at 536 Orange Drive, Altamonte Springs in Seminole County, Florida on October 29, 2019. This forced 13 people to leave their homes.
According to Altamonte Springs police, the officers received a call informing them about a possible sinkhole in the area on Tuesday night at around 6:20PM. The ground below a section of the building gave way. Since then, the hole has grown bigger. One of the officers monitored the area overnight to check if the hole will further increase in size.
Some affected residents got help from Red Cross, while others seek refuge in the homes of their family members. The condo complex has 16 units and is located next to Lake Orienta.
